1. Who operates this website
This website is operated by Heatdial Ltd, company number 12959688. Contact info@heatdial.co.uk or call 07745 528170 with questions about cookies or personal information.
2. What cookies and similar technologies do
Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can also remember information in your browser. This policy covers both, whether supplied by Heatdial or by a third-party service used on our website.
Some storage is needed for the website to work or to remember your privacy choices. Optional technologies can support features such as embedded maps or videos, measure website use or help with advertising. The sections below explain what this website currently uses.
3. Your choice comes first
Optional cookies and the services that use them stay blocked until you give permission. You can accept or reject optional cookies using the banner, or select the available services in Cookie settings. Optional choices are off by default. Rejecting them does not prevent you from reading the website or contacting us.
Use the Heatdial mark in the bottom-left corner of any page to reopen Cookie settings. Change your preferences and save, or choose Reject optional cookies to withdraw permission.
4. The types of cookies we use
Cookies have different jobs. Some remember your choices, some enable extra features, and others can help us understand visits or measure advertising. Here is what each type means and what is currently active.
| Type of cookie | What it does | Currently active | Your choice |
|---|---|---|---|
| EssentialKeeps necessary website functions working and remembers your privacy choices. | Saves your cookie settings and helps protect enquiry forms from spam. | Cookie preferences and form security | Always on |
| FunctionalEnables extra features you can choose to use. | Lets you use embedded content, such as maps. | Google Maps | Off until you allow it |
| AnalyticsHelps us understand how people use the website. | Measures visits and which pages people find useful. | Not currently used | Will require permission if introduced |
| AdvertisingHelps measure advertising and show relevant adverts. | May include services such as Meta Pixel when introduced. | Not currently used | Will require permission if introduced |
Details of current cookies
The details below cover our current setup. Optional services only load after you allow them. The cookies a provider uses can depend on your browser settings and whether you are signed in.
Enquiry forms also use Vercel security checks and request limits. These examine technical browser and request signals to reduce automated spam. They are used for security, not advertising. Our own form challenge is kept in page memory, expires after 30 minutes and is not saved as a contact record in your browser.
| What it’s for | Who provides it | How long it lasts | Your choice |

| Remembering Google settingsSaves preferences and other information used by Google. Cookie name: _Secure-ENID. | 13 months | Only if you allow maps | |
| Remembering your choices with GoogleRemembers which cookies you have accepted or rejected with Google. Cookie name: SOCS. | 13 months | Only if you allow maps |
The Google cookies above are examples listed in Google’s own information; they will not all appear on every visit. Google may also use existing cookies if you are signed in. You can read its cookie information at https://policies.google.com/technologies/cookies.
6. Withdrawing permission
Withdrawing permission stops the optional services controlled by these settings from loading again unless you allow them. For Google Maps, this removes the embedded map from the page. Withdrawal cannot reverse information already sent or delete cookies on another provider’s domain. You can remove existing cookies through your browser’s privacy settings and manage preferences with the provider directly.
Clearing this website’s local storage removes your saved preference. Optional services will then be blocked again and the banner will reappear. A saved choice in another open tab is reflected when the browser notifies that tab.
7. When we add or change cookies
We will update this policy and Cookie settings before introducing new optional services, including analytics or advertising tools such as Meta Pixel. Their purposes, providers and storage periods will be listed here.
Your existing permission for one feature does not give permission for a new purpose. New optional services will stay off until you make the relevant choice.
8. Managing cookies in your browser
Your browser can also let you view, block or delete cookies and other website storage. Instructions vary by browser. Blocking essential storage may stop the website remembering your choices, so you may be asked again on a later visit.
Cookie preferences apply to the browser and device where you set them. If you use another browser or device, you will need to make your choice there too.
9. Further information
